Andamooka 'Painted Lady' Opal specimen stone

Unique and rare Opal specimen from Andamooka mining area, South Australia. Known as a 'Painted Lady', this specimen is comprised of two pieces.  The larger measures 13 x 12 cm (5 x 4.5 inches), weighing 733 gm. The smaller measures 6 x 9 cm (2.5 x 3.5 inches), weighing 179 gm.  Both have been hand polished. By arrangement with Gallery Pacific they can be professionally cut into opal gemstones for use in jewellery.
